Safeguarding Everyone – Level 3
Every dental team has a duty of care to all their patients. This includes ensuring that safeguarding arrangement are in place.
For those working within a dental practice, it’s vital they understand how important it is to ensure the safety and security of anyone within their care. They must know who they come into contact with as part of their role, in line with CQC standards.
Our safeguarding course for dental nurses is to clarify the roles and responsibilities of General Dental Practitioners and the dental team. It also covers child safeguarding in a dental practice.
Our professional guidance also supports dental practitioners in meeting the Government Standards for Health Services & General Dental Council standards.
On completion of this course you will be able to:
- Be able to recognise signs of abuse
- Be able to respond appropriately to suspected or alleged abuse
- Be able to recognise the national and local context of safeguarding and protection from abuse
- Know the most appropriate ways to reduce the likelihood of abuse
- Know how to recognise and report unsafe practices
This course is a GDC and CQC requirement, qualifies for 3 hours of enhanced CPD. It also meets GDC Outcomes A, B, C and D.
